Year Levels Accepted
Primary – Grade 4 to 6
Students are tutored in all the foundations required to successfully negotiate the schooling system: Grammar, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Punctuation and Writing Skills. We also work on how to communicate ideas and critical thinking skills. Assignment and/or homework help is also negotiated on a lesson-to-lesson basis. Students work on a star system where they can earn a ‘Lucky Dip’ (this is very popular).
Secondary – Year 7 to 10
Foundations of writing are visited including language features and how to analyse or compare texts. A more vigorous approach is taken, working with the curriculum to make sure students are prepared for SACE. Assignment scaffolding or homework assistance is available, or extended learning programs that build on existing skills.
SACE – Year 11 and 12
This is an important year for many students. Existing skills are built upon and any gaps in knowledge are addressed. These lessons can include homework or assignment assistance: motivation and confidence is also supported during this crucial time. I have worked as a SACE teacher, moderator and taken part in SACE committee programs. I specialise in Year 11 Research Project in which BeeBetter students consistently excel.
Tertiary – Specialising in first year students
With teachers no longer giving them constant reassurance and guidance, many students find their first year of University the hardest one of all. BeeBetter helps bridge the gap, guiding them through tricky assignments, assisting with organisation, and taking them through what is expected of them in this new learning environment. Idea formulation, research methods and strategies to gain the best grade, are all covered. We work on enjoying the whole academic experience! In fact many students seek assistance right through to graduation.
